Andy Carroll

Andy Carroll, born on January 6, 1989, is an English professional footballer who has made a significant impact in the world of football. Currently serving as the interim manager at National League South club Dagenham & Redbridge, Carroll's career has seen him play for several prominent clubs, including Newcastle United, Liverpool, and West Ham United.

Carroll began his professional journey with Newcastle United in 2006, where he quickly made a name for himself. After a brief loan spell at Preston North End, he became a key player for Newcastle, helping the team secure promotion back to the Premier League in 2010 by scoring seventeen goals in thirty-nine appearances during the Championship season.

In January 2011, Carroll made headlines when he transferred to Liverpool for a record fee of thirty-five million pounds, marking him as one of the most expensive British footballers at the time. Despite facing challenges in finding the back of the net at Liverpool, he later enjoyed a successful loan spell at West Ham United, which turned into a permanent move for fifteen million pounds.

After a six-year stint at West Ham, marred by injuries, Carroll returned to Newcastle for two years before signing a short-term deal with Reading.
