Andy Roddick

Andy Roddick, born on August 30, 1982, is a celebrated American former professional tennis player and actor. He achieved the pinnacle of his sport by being ranked as the world No. 1 in men's singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for an impressive thirteen weeks, including finishing as the year-end No. 1 in 2003.

Throughout his illustrious career, Roddick secured thirty-two ATP Tour-level singles titles, highlighted by his triumph at the 2003 US Open. He also claimed victory in five Masters events and played a pivotal role in leading the United States to the Davis Cup title in 2007. Roddick's fierce rivalry with Roger Federer saw him finish as the runner-up at four major tournaments, including Wimbledon in 2004, 2005, and 2009, as well as the US Open in 2006.

Roddick maintained a remarkable presence in the sport, being ranked in the year-end top ten for nine consecutive years from 2002 to 2010, with his first ascent to the No. 1 position occurring in 2003. After retiring from professional tennis following the 2012 US Open, he shifted his focus to philanthropic efforts through the Andy Roddick Foundation. In 2015, he made a brief return to competitive play with the Austin Aces in World Team Tennis and clinched the QQQ Champions Series titles in both 2015 and 2017.
