Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Anedjib

Anedjib, also known by various names such as Adjib, Hor-Anedjib, Hor-Adjib, Anezib, and Azib, was a prominent figure in ancient Egyptian history, recognized as a sovereign of the 1st Dynasty. His reign is shrouded in historical debate, with different sources providing varying accounts of its duration.

The Egyptian historian Manetho referred to him as Miebîdós, attributing a lengthy reign of twenty-six years to him. However, the Royal Canon of Turin presents an even more astonishing claim, suggesting a reign of seventy-four years. Modern Egyptologists and historians, however, regard these figures as exaggerated, generally agreeing that Anedjib ruled for a more plausible span of eight to ten years.

Despite the discrepancies in historical records, Anedjib's legacy as a ruler remains significant. His contributions to the early formation of the Egyptian state and culture are noteworthy, marking him as an essential figure in the lineage of pharaohs that shaped ancient Egypt.
