Ángela Pumariega

Ángela Pumariega, born on November twelfth, nineteen eighty-four, is a distinguished Spanish sailor renowned for her remarkable achievements in competitive sailing. She made history by winning the gold medal in the Elliott 6m class at the 2012 Summer Olympics, as part of a talented crew led by Támara Echegoyen and accompanied by Sofía Toro.

Before her Olympic triumph, Pumariega showcased her sailing prowess by securing the title of junior Spanish champion and achieving a commendable second place at the European Championships in the Snipe class in two thousand two. Her dedication to the sport continued to shine as she finished second at the Spanish women's nationals in two thousand eight, also in the Snipe class.
