Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Angela Rayner

Angela Rayner, born on March twenty-eight, nineteen eighty, is a prominent British politician and trade unionist. She has represented Ashton-under-Lyne as a Labour and Co-operative Member of Parliament since her election in the two thousand fifteen general election. Rayner's political journey is marked by her commitment to socialist ideals and her alignment with Labour's soft left.

Raised in Stockport, Rayner attended the comprehensive Avondale School but left at the age of sixteen while pregnant and without formal qualifications. She later pursued training in social care at Stockport College, which led to her role as a care worker for the local council. Her dedication to workers' rights propelled her to become a trade union representative within Unison, during which time she joined the Labour Party.

In two thousand sixteen, Rayner began her ascent in the political arena by holding various Shadow Cabinet positions under Jeremy Corbyn. Her leadership skills shone through when she successfully ran for the deputy leadership of the Labour Party in two thousand twenty. Following Labour's victory in the two thousand twenty-four general election, she was appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government by Keir Starmer.

However, her tenure in government was cut short when she resigned in September two thousand twenty-five after a report found that she had violated the Ministerial Code by underpaying stamp duty on a property purchase, an admission she made publicly.
