Anișoara Cușmir-Stanciu

Anișoara Cușmir-Stanciu, born on June twenty-eighth, nineteen sixty-two, is a distinguished retired Romanian long jumper who made her mark in the world of athletics. Her career reached a pinnacle when she clinched the gold medal at the nineteen eighty-four Olympics, showcasing her exceptional talent on an international stage.

In addition to her Olympic success, Cușmir-Stanciu demonstrated her prowess by securing a silver medal at the European Championships in nineteen eighty-two and a second-place finish at the World Championships in nineteen eighty-three. Her remarkable journey in athletics was further highlighted by her ability to break the world record four times between nineteen eighty-two and nineteen eighty-three, solidifying her status as one of the sport's elite competitors.

After her retirement following the nineteen eighty-four Olympics, she transitioned into coaching, taking on the role of an athletics coach at CSA Steaua București.
