Ann Marie Fleming

Ann Marie Fleming is a talented independent filmmaker, writer, and visual artist, known for her unique storytelling and artistic vision. Born in Okinawa, USCAR, in nineteen sixty-two, she embodies a rich cultural heritage, being of Chinese, Ryukyuan, and Australian descent.

Fleming's notable work includes the animated biographical film, The Magical Life of Long Tack Sam, released in two thousand three. This film garnered critical acclaim, winning the Best Documentary award at both the San Diego Asian Film Festival and the Victoria Independent Film Festival. Her storytelling often reflects her diverse background and personal history.

In two thousand sixteen, she released Window Horses, further establishing her reputation in the film industry. Fleming is also the great-granddaughter of the legendary Chinese magician, acrobat, and vaudeville performer Long Tack Sam, a connection that adds depth to her artistic endeavors.
