Anna Kikina

Anna Kikina, born on August twenty-seventh, nineteen eighty-four, is a distinguished Russian engineer and cosmonaut. Selected for her remarkable skills in two thousand twelve, she has since become a prominent figure in the field of space exploration.

As the only female cosmonaut currently in active service at Roscosmos, Kikina has broken barriers in a traditionally male-dominated profession. Her groundbreaking journey to space began in two thousand twenty-two when she flew to the International Space Station (ISS) aboard SpaceX Crew-5. This mission marked a significant milestone as she became the first Roscosmos cosmonaut to travel on a U.S. spacecraft since two thousand two.

During her time on the ISS, Kikina served as a flight engineer for the long-duration Expedition sixty-eight mission. Her contributions to the mission and her role in advancing international cooperation in space have solidified her status as a leading figure in contemporary space exploration.
