Anousheh Ansari

Anousheh Ansari, born on September 12, 1966, is a remarkable Iranian-American entrepreneur and engineer who has made significant strides in the fields of technology and space exploration. As the co-founder and chairwoman of Prodea Systems, she has demonstrated her prowess in business leadership. Her previous role as co-founder and chief executive officer of Telecom Technologies, Inc. further solidified her reputation as a visionary in the tech industry.

On September 18, 2006, Ansari achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Iranian to travel into outer space. This journey made her the fourth self-funded space tourist overall and the first woman to finance her own trip to the International Space Station.
