Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Anthony Davidson

Anthony Davidson, born on April 18, 1979, in Hemel Hempstead, is a distinguished British former racing driver and broadcaster. His journey in motorsport began at the tender age of eight when he started competitive kart racing, quickly establishing himself by winning several national championships. Davidson's talent propelled him into junior formulae in 1999, where he secured multiple titles in both Formula Ford and Formula Three.

In 2001, Davidson took on the role of a test driver for BAR, which later became known as Honda. He made his Formula One debut at the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2002, stepping in for Alex Yoong at Minardi. After a brief stint, he returned to BAR as a test driver until 2007, when he was offered a full-time seat with Super Aguri alongside Takuma Sato. During his time with Super Aguri, Davidson achieved a career-best eleventh place finish at the Spanish, Canadian, and United States Grands Prix.

Unfortunately, financial difficulties led to Super Aguri's withdrawal from Formula One after the Spanish Grand Prix in 2008, marking the end of Davidson's F1 career. However, he transitioned seamlessly into sportscar racing, competing in the LMP1 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship from 2012 to 2017 with Toyota. In 2014, he celebrated a significant achievement by winning the FIA World Endurance Drivers' Championship alongside Sébastien Buemi, amassing thirteen wins from forty starts in the top class of WEC.

Davidson's racing career continued as he entered three additional seasons in the LMP2 class with DragonSpeed and Jota, ultimately retiring at the conclusion of the 2021 season. Beyond the racetrack, he has made a name for himself as a commentator and pundit, beginning his broadcasting career with the BBC in 2009 and later joining Sky Sports F1 in 2012. Additionally, Davidson has contributed his voice to eleven editions of the F1 video game series and has served as a lead commentator on the global feed of the WEC.
