Anthony Nesty

Anthony Nesty, born on November twenty-fifth, nineteen sixty-seven, is a distinguished former competition swimmer from Suriname. He made history in nineteen eighty-eight when he clinched the Olympic gold medal in the 100-metre butterfly event, marking a significant achievement in his swimming career.

After his illustrious swimming journey, Nesty transitioned into coaching and is currently the head coach of the Florida Gators men's and women's swimming team at the University of Florida, where he also completed his education. His expertise and experience have greatly influenced the next generation of swimmers.

In September twenty twenty-three, Nesty was appointed as the head coach for the US men's swimming team for the upcoming twenty twenty-four Summer Olympics in Paris. This prestigious role underscores his commitment to excellence in the sport and his leadership in the swimming community.
