Antonio Cañizares Llovera

Antonio Cañizares Llovera, born on October fifteenth, nineteen forty-five, is a distinguished Spanish Catholic cardinal and theologian. His extensive career in the Church has seen him serve in various significant roles, showcasing his commitment to faith and education.

From two thousand fourteen to two thousand twenty-two, Cañizares held the esteemed position of Archbishop of Valencia. Prior to this, he was the Archbishop of Toledo and Primate of Spain from two thousand two to two thousand eight, and he also served as the Archbishop of Granada from nineteen ninety-six to two thousand two.

His influence within the Catholic Church was further solidified when he was appointed prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments from two thousand eight until two thousand fourteen.
