Anže Kopitar, born on August twenty-four, nineteen eighty-seven, is a distinguished Slovenian professional ice hockey player who currently serves as the centre and captain for the Los Angeles Kings in the National Hockey League (NHL). Making history as the first Slovenian to play in the NHL, he was selected as the eleventh overall pick in the two thousand five NHL entry draft and made his debut in two thousand six. Throughout his career, Kopitar has remained loyal to the Kings, leading the team in scoring in all but four seasons and holding the franchise records for points, assists, and ranking third in goals.

In two thousand twenty-one, Kopitar reached a significant milestone by scoring his one thousandth career point.
