Aram Khachaturian

Aram Khachaturian, born on May twenty-fourth, nineteen oh three, in Tbilisi, now the capital of Georgia, emerged as a prominent Soviet Armenian composer and conductor. His journey into the world of music began rather unexpectedly; without any formal training, he enrolled in the Gnessin Musical Institute and later studied at the Moscow Conservatory under the guidance of Nikolai Myaskovsky, among others. His breakthrough came with the Piano Concerto in nineteen thirty-six, which catapulted him to fame both within the Soviet Union and beyond.

Khachaturian's prolific output includes the Violin Concerto from nineteen forty and the Cello Concerto from nineteen forty-six, alongside significant works such as the Masquerade Suite in nineteen forty-one and the Anthem of the Armenian SSR in nineteen forty-four. He composed three symphonies in nineteen thirty-five, nineteen forty-three, and nineteen forty-seven, and around twenty-five film scores.
