Archduchess Elisabeth Marie of Austria

Archduchess Elisabeth Marie of Austria, born on September second, eighteen eighty-three, was a remarkable figure in the history of the Austrian nobility. As the only child of Rudolf, Crown Prince of Austria, and Princess Stéphanie of Belgium, she was steeped in royal lineage. Her father was the son and heir apparent of Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria, while her mother hailed from the Belgian royal family, being the daughter of King Leopold II.
