Archduchess Maria Josepha of Austria

Archduchess Maria Josepha of Austria, born on March nineteenth, seventeen fifty-one, was a prominent figure in the Habsburg dynasty. As the twelfth child and ninth daughter of Francis I, Holy Roman Emperor, and Empress Maria Theresa, she was part of a lineage that played a significant role in European history.

Maria Josepha's life was marked by her engagement to King Ferdinand IV of Naples and Sicily. This union, however, was never realized, as her life was tragically cut short by smallpox. Her untimely death left a void in the royal family and the political landscape of the time.
