Arif Alvi

Arif Alvi, born on July twenty-ninth, nineteen forty-nine, is a prominent Pakistani politician and former dentist who made history as the thirteenth president of Pakistan. His presidency spanned from September two thousand eighteen to March two thousand twenty-four, marking a significant chapter in the country's political landscape.

Alvi's political journey began in nineteen seventy-nine when he joined Jamaat-e-Islami. However, he later resigned from this party to become one of the founding members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), a political movement that has played a crucial role in shaping contemporary Pakistani politics.

In two thousand thirteen, Alvi was elected to the National Assembly from NA-250 Karachi-XII, showcasing his growing influence. He was re-elected in two thousand eighteen from NA-247 Karachi South-II, further solidifying his political career. His nomination as the PTI's candidate for the presidential election led to a decisive victory over notable opponents, including Fazal-ur-Rehman and Aitzaz Ahsan.
