Arif Mardin

Arif Mardin, born on March fifteenth, nineteen thirty-two, was a prominent Turkish-American music producer whose influence spanned multiple genres, including jazz, rock, soul, disco, and country. His remarkable career at Atlantic Records lasted over three decades, during which he held various roles such as producer, arranger, studio manager, and vice president.

After his extensive tenure at Atlantic, Mardin transitioned to EMI, where he served as vice president and general manager of Manhattan Records. His expertise and vision helped shape the sound of numerous artists, making him a sought-after collaborator in the music industry.

Throughout his illustrious career, Mardin worked with an impressive roster of artists, including the Rascals, Queen, Melissa Manchester, John Prine, the Bee Gees, Hall & Oates, and many more.
