Arjun Erigaisi

Arjun Erigaisi, born on September third, two thousand three, is an exceptional Indian chess grandmaster who has made significant strides in the world of chess from a young age. Recognized as a chess prodigy, he achieved the prestigious title of grandmaster at the remarkably young age of fourteen years, eleven months, and thirteen days.

In September twenty twenty-four, Arjun ascended to become India's top-rated chess player. His remarkable journey continued as he reached a peak rating of two thousand eight hundred and one in December twenty twenty-four, making him the fifteenth-highest rated player in chess history. Notably, he is the second Indian ever to surpass the two thousand eight hundred threshold, following the legendary Viswanathan Anand.

Arjun's prowess on the chessboard was further highlighted when he won double bronze medals at the FIDE World Rapid & Blitz Championships in twenty twenty-five. This achievement marked him as the first Indian player to secure podium finishes in both events since Anand's remarkable performance in twenty seventeen.
