Armin Navabi

Armin Navabi, born on December twenty-fifth, nineteen eighty-three, is an influential Iranian-Canadian ex-Muslim atheist, author, podcaster, and women's rights activist currently residing in Vancouver, Canada. His journey into activism began with a profound commitment to advocating for the rights of non-believers in societies where irreligion is often met with hostility.

In two thousand twelve, Navabi founded Atheist Republic, an online freethought community that has grown into a Canada-based non-profit organization. This initiative has established hundreds of branches, known as 'consulates,' across various countries, including Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. These consulates serve as vital spaces for non-believers to connect and support one another in environments where apostasy and blasphemy can lead to severe repercussions.

As an author, Navabi made his literary debut with the book 'Why There Is No God' in two thousand fourteen, which has contributed to the discourse on atheism and secularism. His passion for promoting rational thought and enlightenment continued as he co-hosted the 'Secular Jihadists from the Middle East' podcast starting in two thousand seventeen, alongside notable figures such as Ali A. Rizvi, Yasmine Mohammad, and Faisal Saeed Al Mutar. The podcast was later rebranded in January two thousand eighteen to 'Secular Jihadists for a Muslim Enlightenment,' further emphasizing its mission to foster dialogue and understanding.
