Arsen Avakov

Arsen Avakov, born on January second, nineteen sixty-four, is a prominent Ukrainian politician of Armenian descent. He held the esteemed position of Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine from two thousand fourteen to two thousand twenty-one, playing a crucial role in shaping the country's internal security policies during a tumultuous period.

Before his tenure as Minister, Avakov served as the Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration from two thousand five to two thousand ten. His political career also included a significant role as a member of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, where he contributed to national security strategies from two thousand seven to two thousand eight and again from two thousand fourteen to two thousand twenty-one. Additionally, he was a member of the Verkhovna Rada from two thousand twelve to two thousand fourteen.

Beyond his political endeavors, Avakov was actively involved in the cultural and organizational aspects of Ukraine, notably as a member of the Euro two thousand twelve Organizing Committee in two thousand seven. His commitment to journalism is reflected in his membership in the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.
