Artour Babaev, known in the gaming world as Arteezy, was born on July 1, 1996, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. At the tender age of one, he and his family relocated to Vancouver, Canada, where he would grow up. Arteezy's heritage is a rich tapestry of cultures, with a Russian mother and Russian-Armenian roots. His family's journey included living in Israel and Armenia before settling in Canada, which shaped his diverse background.

From a young age, Arteezy exhibited exceptional talent in Dota 2, quickly rising through the ranks to achieve the highest matchmaking rating on public leaderboards. His passion for gaming led him to become a prominent figure in the Dota 2 community, and he began streaming on Twitch in 2014, where he garnered a massive following and became one of the platform's most beloved personalities.
