Arthur Aimé Bruneau, born on March fourth, eighteen sixty-four in St-Athanase d'Iberville, Canada East, was a prominent Canadian politician and lawyer. He was the son of J. J. Bruneau and Marie Louise Bruneau, and his educational journey began at the College of the Sacred Heart in Sorel, followed by studies at the Jesuits' College in Montreal.
Bruneau pursued a legal education at Université Laval while simultaneously training in the law office of Hon. R. Laflamme. His dedication to the field paid off when he was admitted to the Quebec Bar in January eighteen eighty-seven, after which he established his legal practice in Sorel.
His political career took off during the by-election of eighteen ninety-two when he was acclaimed as the Liberal candidate for Richelieu in the House of Commons of Canada. Bruneau's popularity was evident as he was re-elected in eighteen ninety-six, eighteen hundred, and eighteen oh four. However, he chose to resign in nineteen oh seven when he was appointed as a Judge of the Superior Court of Quebec.
