Arthur Moeller van den Bruck

Arthur Moeller van den Bruck, born on April twenty-third, eighteen seventy-six, was a prominent German cultural historian and philosopher. He emerged as a key intellectual figure of the Conservative Revolution, contributing significantly to the discourse surrounding German nationalism during a tumultuous period in history.

His most notable work, the controversial book 'Das Dritte Reich' published in nineteen twenty-three, played a pivotal role in shaping nationalist sentiments in Germany. Despite his vocal opposition to Adolf Hitler and his regime, the book's influence on the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP) was undeniable, marking him as a complex figure in the political landscape of his time.

In addition to his political writings, Moeller van den Bruck was also a dedicated translator and historian. From nineteen oh six to nineteen twenty-two, he published the first complete German translation of the works of Fyodor Dostoyevsky, translated by Elisabeth Kaerrick, thereby introducing German readers to the profound insights of Russian literature.
