Arturo Miranda

Arturo Miranda, born on January nineteenth, nineteen seventy-one, is a distinguished figure in the world of competitive diving. Originally hailing from Havana, Cuba, he has made significant contributions to the sport as both a former diver and a coach.

As a member of the Canadian national team, Miranda showcased his talent at the highest level, finishing fifth in the synchronized three-meter springboard event at the two thousand eight Summer Olympics in Beijing. Partnering with the renowned former world champion Alexandre Despatie, he demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication.

Today, Miranda channels his passion for diving into coaching, working with elite athletes at the Pointe-Claire Diving Club. He has played a pivotal role in the development of Olympians such as Meaghan Benfeito, Roseline Filion, and Jennifer Abel, alongside fellow coach Li Yihua.
