Arundhati Bhattacharya

Arundhati Bhattacharya, born on March eighteenth, nineteen fifty-six, is a distinguished banker who has made significant contributions to the financial sector in India. She is best known for her role as the first woman Chairperson of the State Bank of India, a position she held with remarkable leadership and vision.

In addition to her groundbreaking tenure at the State Bank of India, Bhattacharya currently serves as the chairperson and chief executive officer for Salesforce in India. Her influence in the banking industry has been recognized globally, as evidenced by her ranking as the twenty-fifth most powerful woman in the world by Forbes in two thousand sixteen.

Her achievements extend beyond banking; she is the only Indian corporate leader to be featured on Fortune's list of the world's greatest leaders, where she was ranked at twenty-six.
