Rakim Athelston Mayers, known to the world as ASAP Rocky, is a multifaceted American artist born on October 3, 1988, in Harlem. He is not only a rapper but also a record producer, actor, fashion designer, and model. His journey into the music industry began as a member of the hip hop collective ASAP Mob, from which he derived his iconic stage name. In August 2011, the leak of his single 'Peso' marked a pivotal moment in his career, garnering significant radio play and thrusting cloud rap into the mainstream spotlight.

Following his initial success, Mayers signed with Polo Grounds Music, a subsidiary of RCA Records, in October 2011. His debut mixtape, 'Live. Love.
