Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Ashley Moody

Ashley Moody, born on March twenty-eighth, nineteen seventy-five, hails from Plant City, Florida. She is a distinguished American politician and attorney, currently serving as the junior United States senator from Florida since January twenty twenty-five. A member of the Republican Party, Moody previously held the position of the thirty-eighth attorney general of Florida from two thousand nineteen to twenty twenty-five.

Moody's academic journey took her through the University of Florida and Stetson University, where she laid the foundation for her legal career. She began her professional life in civil litigation before joining the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Middle District of Florida as an assistant U.S. attorney. In two thousand six, she was elected as a circuit court judge in Hillsborough County, a role she fulfilled until two thousand seventeen when she resigned to pursue the office of Florida attorney general.

During her tenure as attorney general, Moody was known for her strong stances, including supporting lawsuits aimed at invalidating the Affordable Care Act and opposing the legalization of recreational cannabis. She was a vocal supporter of then-President Donald Trump during the twenty twenty presidential election and participated in the Texas v. Pennsylvania lawsuit, which sought to challenge the election results.

In January twenty twenty-five, following the resignation of Marco Rubio, who became the United States secretary of state, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Moody to fill the vacated U.S. Senate seat. As she embarks on her political journey in the Senate, she is also preparing to run for the Republican nomination in the upcoming twenty twenty-six United States Senate special election in Florida.
