Aspasia Manos, born on September fourth, nineteen ninety-six, was a prominent Greek aristocrat whose life took a remarkable turn when she became the wife of Alexander I, King of Greece. Their union was steeped in controversy, leading to her being referred to as Madame Manou rather than the traditional title of Queen Aspasia.
Following the death of her husband and the subsequent restoration of King Constantine I on September tenth, nineteen twenty-two, Aspasia was finally recognized as Princess Aspasia of Greece and Denmark. This acknowledgment marked a significant moment in her life, as it solidified her status within the royal family.
Through her marriage, Aspasia and her descendants became the only ethnically Greek members of the Greek royal family, which had its origins in Denmark. This unique position not only highlighted her significance in the royal lineage but also underscored the cultural ties between Greece and Denmark.
