Assia Djebar

Assia Djebar, born Fatima-Zohra Imalayen on June 30, 1936, was a prominent Algerian novelist, translator, and filmmaker. Renowned for her profound exploration of women's experiences, Djebar's literary works often highlight the challenges faced by women in a patriarchal society.
