Atsuko Tanaka

Atsuko Tanaka, born on November fourteenth, nineteen sixty-two, was a renowned Japanese voice actress and narrator hailing from Maebashi. Her passion for acting ignited during her youth, leading her to pursue a career in the performing arts. While studying at Ferris University, she gained early experience as a background extra at Shochiku, which laid the groundwork for her future endeavors in the industry.

After dedicating several years to working as an office lady for a Tokyo executive, Tanaka made a pivotal decision to enroll in the Tokyo Announcement Academy. This move marked the beginning of her professional journey in voice acting, as she subsequently joined the talent agency Mausu Promotion, where she remained affiliated until her untimely passing.

Tanaka's voice became iconic through her portrayal of beloved characters in various popular franchises. She is best known for her role as Motoko Kusanagi in the acclaimed Ghost in the Shell film and its subsequent series. Her impressive repertoire also includes voicing Konan in Naruto, Caster in Fate/stay night, and Lisa Lisa in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, among many others.

In addition to her work in anime, Tanaka lent her voice to characters in video games, including Chun-Li in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike and Bayonetta in the Bayonetta franchise. Her versatility extended to roles in Jujutsu Kaisen, Umineko no Naku Koro ni, and Genshin Impact, showcasing her remarkable talent and dedication to her craft.
