Audrey Azoulay

Audrey Azoulay, born on August fourth, nineteen seventy-two, is a prominent French civil servant and politician. She has made significant contributions to the cultural landscape of France and the world, notably serving as the tenth Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) from two thousand seventeen to two thousand twenty-five. In this role, she became the second female leader of the organization, paving the way for future generations of women in leadership.

Before her tenure at UNESCO, Azoulay held the esteemed position of France's Minister of Culture from two thousand sixteen to two thousand seventeen, under the leadership of Prime Ministers Manuel Valls and Bernard Cazeneuve.
