Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Augustin Bourbonnais

Augustin Bourbonnais was a notable Canadian physician and politician, born on March nineteenth, eighteen fifty in Saint-Clet, Soulanges County, Canada East. He was the son of Michel Bourbonnais and Angèle Houle. His educational journey began at the Seminary of Sainte-Thérèse, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in eighteen seventy-two. Following this, he pursued a medical degree at Laval University, graduating as a Doctor of Medicine in eighteen seventy-five.

After completing his studies, Bourbonnais initially practiced medicine in Syracuse, New York, before relocating to Coteau Landing, Quebec. His career in politics began when he was elected to the House of Commons of Canada for the riding of Soulanges during the general elections of eighteen ninety-six. As a member of the Liberal Party, he successfully secured re-election in eighteen hundred for a second term and again in eighteen hundred four.

Despite his early successes, Bourbonnais faced defeat in the elections of eighteen hundred eight. His political journey was complemented by his familial ties, as his younger brother, Avila-Gonzague Bourbonnais, served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from eighteen eighty-six to eighteen hundred two.
