Aurelio Voltaire Hernández, born on January 25, 1967, is a multifaceted Cuban-American artist known for his contributions to music, animation, and literature. Professionally recognized as Aurelio Voltaire, or simply Voltaire, he has carved a niche for himself in the dark cabaret music genre, captivating audiences with his unique gothic style both in dress and sound.

With a discography that includes thirteen studio albums, Voltaire's notable works feature titles such as Riding a Black Unicorn Down the Side of an Erupting Volcano While Drinking from a Chalice Filled with the Laughter of Small Children (2011), BiTrektual (2012), and Raised by Bats (2014). His musical talents extend to television, where he composed songs for the beloved Cartoon Network series The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, which aired from 2001 to 2007. Looking ahead, he is set to star as the vampire Duke in the upcoming The Vampair Series, scheduled for release in 2026.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Voltaire is an accomplished comic book creator and author. In 1997, he wrote and illustrated the six-issue comic book series Chi-Chian for Sirius Entertainment, which he later adapted into a Flash animated web series for the Sci-Fi Channel.
