Avicii, born on September eighth, nineteen eighty-nine, was a renowned disc jockey, remixer, musician, record producer, and singer. He began his journey in music at the tender age of sixteen, posting remixes on electronic music forums. His talent was recognized when he signed with the label Dejfitts Plays in May two thousand seven, marking the beginning of a remarkable career.

His breakthrough came in two thousand eleven with the release of the single 'Levels', which catapulted him to international fame. Avicii's debut studio album, 'True', released in two thousand thirteen, showcased a unique blend of electronic music with various other genres. The album received positive reviews and achieved top ten status in over fifteen countries, with the lead single 'Wake Me Up' becoming one of the most-streamed songs on Spotify.

Avicii continued to dominate the music scene with his subsequent works, including the albums 'Stories' in two thousand fifteen and the extended play 'Avīci (01)' in two thousand seventeen, both of which reached number one on the Swedish Sverigetopplistan chart. His final album, 'Tim', was released posthumously in two thousand nineteen and topped the Billboard Top Dance Albums chart.

Despite his success, Avicii faced significant health challenges throughout his life. In two thousand twelve, he was hospitalized for eleven days in New York City due to acute pancreatitis linked to excessive alcohol consumption. This led to a struggle with opioid addiction, stemming from pain management treatments. After undergoing surgery in two thousand fourteen, he entered rehabilitation a year later. Ultimately, Avicii announced his retirement from touring in March two thousand sixteen.

Tragically, Avicii's life came to an end in two thousand eighteen when he died by suicide while on vacation in Muscat, Oman. His legacy is marked by numerous accolades, including four MTV Europe Music Awards, two International Dance Music Awards, one American Music Award, and one Billboard Music Award.
