Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Ayad Allawi

Ayad Allawi, born on May thirty-first, nineteen forty-five, is a prominent Iraqi-British politician and psychiatrist. He has played a significant role in Iraq's political landscape, serving as the interim prime minister from two thousand four to two thousand five and later as vice president from two thousand fourteen to two thousand fifteen and again from two thousand sixteen to two thousand eighteen.

Allawi's political journey began in exile, where he spent nearly thirty years advocating for change in Iraq. As a Shia Muslim, he became a key member of the Iraq Interim Governing Council, established by U.S.-led coalition authorities following the two thousand three invasion of Iraq. He made history as Iraq's first head of government after the fall of Saddam Hussein when he was appointed prime minister of the Iraqi Interim Government on June first, two thousand four.

His tenure as prime minister concluded on April seventh, two thousand five, when the newly elected transitional Iraqi National Assembly selected Ibrahim al-Jaafari as the new leader. A former Ba'athist, Allawi was instrumental in founding the Iraqi National Accord, a political party that remains active today. In the lead-up to the two thousand three invasion, the INA provided crucial intelligence regarding alleged weapons of mass destruction to MI6.

Having spent a significant portion of his life in the United Kingdom, Allawi's family continues to reside there for their safety. Throughout his career, he has faced numerous challenges, including surviving assassination attempts in nineteen seventy-eight, two thousand four, and on April twentieth, two thousand five.
