Aziz Nasirzadeh

Aziz Nasirzadeh, born on January first, nineteen sixty-four, was a distinguished Iranian military officer whose career spanned several pivotal roles within the Iranian Armed Forces. He served as the Minister of Defence of Iran from two thousand twenty-four to two thousand twenty-six, a position that underscored his influence in shaping the country's military strategies during a critical period.

Prior to his tenure as Minister, Nasirzadeh held the position of Deputy Chief of Staff for the Iranian Armed Forces from September two thousand twenty-one to August two thousand twenty-four. His leadership was further exemplified during his command of the Iranian Air Force from August two thousand eighteen to September two thousand twenty-one, where he was recognized for his strategic acumen and operational oversight.

A veteran of the Iran–Iraq War, Nasirzadeh graduated as a certified F-14 pilot, although he did not engage in combat. His military career was marked by a commitment to service and a dedication to the defense of his nation.

Tragically, on February twenty-eighth, two thousand twenty-six, the Israel Defense Forces announced his death during the ongoing conflict known as the 2026 Iran war, marking a somber end to a notable military career.
