Babita

Babita Shivdasani Kapoor, known simply as Babita, was born on April 20, 1948. She is an esteemed Indian actress who made her mark in Hindi cinema during the late 1960s and early 1970s. As the daughter of character actor Hari Shivdasani and cousin to the renowned actress Sadhana Shivdasani, Babita was destined for a life in the spotlight.

Her cinematic journey began with the drama Dus Lakh in 1966, but it was her role in the romantic thriller Raaz in 1967 that truly catapulted her to fame. Over the next several years, she starred in a total of nineteen films as the lead heroine, showcasing her talent in box office hits such as Farz, Haseena Maan Jayegi, and Kismat, all released in 1968. Other notable films include Ek Shriman Ek Shrimati, Doli, and Kal Aaj Aur Kal.

In 1971, Babita married fellow actor Randhir Kapoor, which marked a turning point in her career. She continued to act in films like Jeet and Ek Hasina Do Diwane in 1972, but her last release in 1973 was met with average success. Following this, she chose to step away from the film industry to embrace her role as a housewife, leaving behind a legacy of memorable performances.
