Christopher Chahn Bahng, widely known as Bang Chan, was born on October 3, 1997, in Australia. He has made a significant impact in the music industry as a talented singer, rapper, songwriter, and record producer. Currently based in South Korea, Bang Chan is the leader of the boy band Stray Kids, which has garnered international acclaim. He is also a member of 3Racha, an in-house production team and sub-unit of Stray Kids.
Bang Chan played a crucial role in the formation of Stray Kids, taking on responsibilities that included selecting trainees, naming the group, and designing its logo. In February 2023, Bang Chan became a full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA), further solidifying his influence in the music scene. His creative talents extend beyond Stray Kids, as he has composed music for various TV series, including Pop Out Boy!, Tower of God, and Re:Revenge – In the End of Desire. He has also contributed to films such as Doraemon: Nobita's Sky Utopia and Deadpool & Wolverine.
In addition to his work with Stray Kids, Bang Chan has written songs for notable artists like JO1, Yao Chen, and Show Lo. His collaborations with renowned musicians such as Alesso, Sky-Hi, Tiger JK, Lil Durk, and Japanese singer Lisa highlight his versatility and appeal across different genres.
