Barbara Jardin, born on October twenty-second, nineteen ninety-one, is a distinguished Canadian competitive swimmer hailing from Montreal. She began her swimming journey at the tender age of four, joining the Cote des Neiges swimming club, where her passion for the sport flourished.
Jardin made her mark on the international stage during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where she showcased her talent in the women's 200-metre freestyle. She finished sixth overall in the heats and narrowly missed a spot in the finals, concluding her semifinal in tenth place. Additionally, she was a vital member of the Canadian team that achieved a commendable fourth place in the women's 4x200-metre freestyle relay.
Her impressive career also includes participation in the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, Commonwealth Games, and World Championships in 2010. In recognition of her outstanding performance, she was honored as Swimming Canada's Female Sprint Freestyle Swimmer of the Year in 2011, competing in both the 200 m and 400 m freestyle events at the World Championships.
