Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Barbara Pierre

Barbara Pierre, born on April 28, 1987, is a distinguished Haitian-born American sprinter who has made her mark on the international athletics scene. Specializing in the 60-meter and 100-meter dashes, she achieved remarkable success throughout her career, peaking in 2013 when she was ranked as the fourth fastest sprinter in the world for the 100 meters, boasting a personal best of 10.85 seconds.

Pierre's journey in competitive athletics took a significant turn when she represented Haiti at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Competing in the 100-meter sprint, she placed fourth in her initial heat, which typically would have led to her elimination. However, her time of 11.52 seconds was among the ten fastest losing times, allowing her to advance to the second round. Unfortunately, she did not qualify for the semi-finals, finishing with a time of 11.56 seconds.

In 2015, Pierre showcased her talent at the Pan American Games, where she set a games record of 10.92 seconds during the preliminary round. Although she was slightly slower in the final, she secured a bronze medal, further solidifying her status as a top-tier sprinter.

After a successful career, Pierre decided to retire at the age of thirty-five. She transitioned into coaching, taking on the role of Volunteer Assistant at her alma mater, St. Augustine University, where she continues to inspire the next generation of athletes.
