Barbara Underhill, born on June twenty-fourth, nineteen sixty-three, is a distinguished Canadian figure skater and a prominent hockey skating coach. She made her mark in the world of competitive skating as a pair skater, partnering with Paul Martini. Together, they achieved remarkable success, becoming the World champions in nineteen eighty-four and securing the Canadian national championship title for five consecutive years from nineteen seventy-nine to nineteen eighty-three.
Underhill and Martini represented Canada on the Olympic stage, competing in the Winter Olympics of nineteen eighty and nineteen eighty-four. Their performances earned them ninth place in the former and a commendable seventh place in the latter, showcasing their talent and dedication to the sport.
In recognition of her contributions to figure skating, Underhill was inducted into the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame in two thousand nine.
