Barry Beck

Barry Beck, born on June third, nineteen fifty-seven, is a distinguished Canadian former professional ice hockey player who has made significant contributions to the sport. Currently, he serves as the head coach of the Hong Kong national team, showcasing his dedication to developing hockey talent beyond his playing days.

Beck's journey in ice hockey began with a remarkable selection as the second overall pick in both the nineteen seventy-seven NHL amateur draft and the WHA Amateur Draft, coming from the New Westminster Bruins. His time with the Bruins was highlighted by a triumphant victory in the nineteen seventy-seven Memorial Cup, where he was honored with the Stafford Smythe Memorial Trophy for being the tournament's Most Valuable Player.

Choosing to pursue a career in the NHL, Beck started with the Colorado Rockies, where he quickly made a name for himself.
