Bashar Murad

Bashar Murad, born on February seventh, nineteen ninety-three, is a Palestinian singer-songwriter and video artist residing in East Jerusalem. His artistic expression is deeply rooted in the socio-political landscape of the Middle East, where he uses his music to challenge societal norms, advocate for gender equality, and address the complexities of the Israeli occupation.

One of Murad's most notable collaborations was with the Icelandic techno-punk band Hatari on the track 'Klefi / Samed'. This song gained significant attention shortly after Hatari made headlines by raising banners featuring the Palestinian flag during the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv in two thousand nineteen.

In June two thousand twenty-one, Murad released his debut EP titled 'Maskhara', further establishing his presence in the music industry. His work not only entertains but also serves as a powerful commentary on the issues facing his community, making him a prominent voice in contemporary music.
