Bechara El Khoury

Bechara El Khoury, born on August tenth, nineteen hundred, was a prominent Lebanese politician and lawyer who played a pivotal role in the country's political landscape. He is best remembered as the first president of Lebanon, a position he held from September twenty-first, nineteen forty-three, until September eighteenth, nineteen fifty-two, with a brief interruption of eleven days in November nineteen forty-three.

Before ascending to the presidency, El Khoury had already made his mark in Lebanese politics through two short terms as Prime Minister. His first term spanned from May fifth, nineteen twenty-seven, to August tenth, nineteen twenty-eight, followed by a second term from May ninth to October eleventh, nineteen twenty-nine. These early experiences laid the groundwork for his later leadership.
