Benik Afobe, born on February 12, 1993, is a professional footballer currently playing as a striker for Al-Arabi. His journey in football began when he signed a professional contract with Arsenal in February 2010, marking the start of a career that would see him loaned to several clubs, including Huddersfield Town, Reading, Bolton Wanderers, Millwall, Sheffield Wednesday, and Milton Keynes Dons.
In January 2015, Afobe made a significant move to Wolverhampton Wanderers, and just a year later, he transferred to Bournemouth for a fee of ten million pounds. After a season with Bournemouth, he returned to Wolves on loan, eventually securing a permanent transfer back to Molineux for another ten million pounds. His career continued to evolve as he joined Stoke City, initially on loan, before making a permanent switch in January 2019.
Internationally, Afobe represented the DR Congo national team on six occasions between 2017 and 2018. Notably, he was also part of the England squad that triumphed in the 2010 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, showcasing his talent on a prestigious platform.
