Benjamin Griveaux

Benjamin Griveaux, born on December twenty-ninth, nineteen seventy-seven, is a prominent French politician affiliated with La République En Marche! (LREM). He held the position of Government Spokesman from two thousand seventeen to two thousand nineteen under Prime Minister Édouard Philippe. His political career also includes serving as a member of the National Assembly from two thousand seventeen until two thousand twenty-one, representing the fifth constituency of Paris, which includes the vibrant third and tenth arrondissements.

Before aligning with LREM, Griveaux was a member of the Socialist Party (PS). Throughout his career, he has been recognized as one of President Emmanuel Macron's closest political allies, playing a significant role in shaping the party's direction and policies.

In two thousand twenty, Griveaux was selected as LREM's candidate for the Mayor of Paris during the municipal elections. However, his campaign was marred by a scandal, leading to his withdrawal from the race. Subsequently, Health Minister Agnès Buzyn took his place as the party's candidate.
