Pavard's football journey began at Lille in Ligue 1, where he showcased his talent before making a significant move to VfB Stuttgart in 2016. His first season with Stuttgart was marked by success as he helped the team secure the 2. Bundesliga title. In January 2019, he transitioned to Bayern Munich, a move that was finalized following Stuttgart's relegation at the end of that season.

He also represented France in the 2020 and 2024 UEFA European Championships and the 2022 World Cup, where the team finished as runners-up. Pavard is particularly remembered for his stunning volley against Argentina in the round of 16 during the 2018 World Cup, which was celebrated as the Goal of the Tournament.
