Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Bernard Cazeneuve

Bernard Cazeneuve, born on June second, nineteen sixty-three, is a prominent French lawyer and politician who held the esteemed position of Prime Minister of France from December sixth, two thousand sixteen, to May fifteenth, two thousand seventeen. His political journey began in the National Assembly, where he represented Manche's fifth constituency from nineteen ninety-seven to two thousand two and again from two thousand seven to two thousand twelve, with brief tenures in the fourth constituency in two thousand twelve and two thousand seventeen.

Throughout his career, Cazeneuve was a dedicated member of the centre-left Socialist Party, a commitment that lasted until two thousand twenty-two when he departed from the party due to disagreements over its decision to join an electoral coalition that included the leftist La France Insoumise. His local governance experience includes serving as the Mayor of Cherbourg-Octeville from two thousand one to two thousand twelve, where he made significant contributions to the community.

In two thousand twelve, Cazeneuve was appointed Minister Delegate for European Affairs in the Ayrault government, and the following year, he took on the role of Minister Delegate for the Budget after the resignation of Jérôme Cahuzac. His political ascent continued as he became the Minister of the Interior in the First Valls government in two thousand fourteen, a position he maintained through the formation of the Second Valls government.

In two thousand sixteen, he was appointed Prime Minister by President François Hollande following Manuel Valls' resignation to focus on his presidential candidacy. However, after Emmanuel Macron's election as President of the French Republic, Cazeneuve resigned and returned to private practice. Recently, during the two thousand twenty-four French political crisis, he was considered a front-runner for the Prime Minister position but was ultimately passed over in favor of Michel Barnier.
