His professional journey began with Thanda Royal Zulu in the Premier Soccer League, where he made seventy appearances. A significant chapter in his career unfolded during a one-year loan to Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade, followed by a move to the Netherlands to join FC Twente in two thousand nine. During his time in the Eredivisie, Parker celebrated notable successes, including winning the two thousand nine to ten Eredivisie title and the Johan Cruyff Shield in two thousand ten.

In two thousand eleven, Parker made a pivotal move to Kaizer Chiefs, where he became a household name in South African football.
